A very simple recipe for mussels in an ale that will appeal to all seafood lovers. The dish turns out to be very tender and aromatic, and it takes very little time to prepare it.

You will need
- - 2 tablespoons butter;
- - 30 g chopped shallots;
- - 1 clove of garlic;
- - half a tablespoon of chopped thyme;
- - 180 ml of any ale;
- - 500 g of mussels;
- - a tablespoon of Dijon mustard (optional);
- - 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley;
- - salt and pepper to taste.

Mussels should be washed thoroughly. In a frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter and fry the shallots on it for 4 minutes. Add chopped garlic and thyme, fry for another 1 minute.

Add ale to the pan, bring to a boil and add mussels. We close the pan with a lid, prepare the mussels for 6-8 minutes.

We put the mussels on a plate, add mustard and parsley to the pan. Mix the sauce, salt and pepper to taste and pour the mussels with it. The ideal complement to the dish is bread fried to a golden crust.
