To taste, "Pita" resembles ordinary homemade pita bread. The stuffed cake can be given to the child at school or taken to the office. Cooking Pita at home is pretty easy. However, you need to know some tricks.

Products

For baking "Pitta" you will need the following ingredients:

  • flour - 350 g;

  • lean oil - 2 tbsp / l;

  • salt - 1 h / l;

  • boiling water - 200 g.

How to bake

To make Pitta, pour salt into a glass of hot water. Pour flour into a bowl. Pour salted water into flour and add vegetable oil.

Knead the dough with a spoon and then with your hands. Put the dough in a container, cover with a lid or plastic wrap and leave to rest on the table for 10 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll a ball from each. Sprinkle flour on the table or oil.

It is important that during the rolling process the dough does not stick to the work surface. A cake should not be torn under a rolling pin. Otherwise, when frying, air will come out of it and the pocket will not work.

Roll the first ball into a cake with a diameter of about 16 cm and a thickness of 3-4 mm. Try to make the cake completely round. In this case, the pocket itself will come out neat and it will be easy to fill it with filling.

Preheat the pan without oil. Put the tortilla in the pan and bake it until it is browned. Turn the cake to the other side and wait for the browning.

Turn the pit over again. At this moment, the circle from the test in the eyes will stratify and begin to swell like a ball. After about 20 seconds, turn the tortilla over again and hold it in the pan for a while. The cake should "deflate."

Remove the “Pita” from the pan and cut off its edge on one side, thus opening the pocket. In the same way, fry and trim the remaining cakes.
