Lazy cabbage rolls resemble their "classic" counterparts in terms of product composition, but the process of preparing them is much simpler: you don’t have to bother with a cabbage of cabbage, disassembling it into separate leaves and getting rid of hard veins. To prepare lazy cabbage rolls you will need about 700 grams of minced meat. Usually, one-to-one beef and pork mincemeat is used for this dish, but if you want the dish to be less fat, you can increase the proportion of beef. Pass the meat through a meat grinder along with the onion, add one egg to the minced meat, as well as salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Rinse half a glass of rice and boil until half cooked in slightly salted water (10-15 minutes after boiling). Throw it in a colander, let it drain water, shake the colander several times intensively to get rid of excess moisture and add rice to minced meat.

Finely chop 200-300 grams of cabbage. Place the cabbage in a saucepan, pour hot water, then bring to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes (thanks to this operation, the cabbage will become softer). Throw in a colander and let the water drain. Add cabbage to minced meat and rice and knead thoroughly.

Form lazy cabbage rolls from meat-rice-cabbage mixture - small round or oblong cutlets. Roll them in flour.

Heat vegetable oil for frying in a pan and lightly fry stuffed cabbage on both sides until golden brown (5-7 minutes). If you cook lazy cabbage rolls in a slow cooker - also brown them on both sides in the "Frying" or "Baking" mode (12-15 minutes each).

Make a vegetable sauce. Peel the onions and carrots, free the sweet peppers from the core. Finely chop the onion and pepper, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry vegetables lightly, add sour cream, pour half a glass of water, add salt and bring to a boil.

Instead of vegetable sauce, you can cook a simple tomato sauce, often used by housewives for a recipe for lazy cabbage rolls. Mix two glasses of tomato juice (or dilute 100 grams of concentrated tomato paste in one and a half glasses of water) and half a glass of sour cream.

If you cook lazy cabbage rolls in the oven - put the cutlets in a deep baking dish, pouring sauce on each layer. Place in an oven preheated to 170-180 ° C and cook for 35-40 minutes.

To prepare lazy cabbage rolls in a slow cooker, place them in a bowl, fill with sauce and cook in the "Stew" mode for 50-60 minutes. Similarly, you can cook cabbage rolls in a deep pan, covering it with a lid. But the cooking time in this case is better to reduce to 30-35 minutes.
