You will need

  • - zucchini - 300 g;

  • - onions - 1 pc.;

  • - water - 200 ml;

  • - sugar - 2 teaspoons;

  • - salt - 1.5 teaspoons;

  • - wheat flour - 520-550 g;

  • - sunflower oil - 3 tablespoons;

  • - dry yeast - 7 g.

Instruction manual

1

First, rinse the zucchini thoroughly under running water. Then, taking a fine grater, chop it. From the resulting mass, carefully squeeze the excess juice.

2

Pour a dry mixture of yeast and granulated sugar into a glass of warm water. Mix everything as it should, that is, until the mixed ingredients are dissolved, then set aside in a fairly warm place for about one quarter of an hour.

3

After chopping the peeled onions into rather small pieces with a knife, mix it with the zucchini mass, as well as the suitable sponge and sunflower oil. Then pour salt and wheat flour there. Add wheat flour gradually, that is, as you knead. By the way, you can add any greens to the dough - it perfectly complements the taste of squash bread.

4

From soft, form-keeping and non-sticky dough, form round or oval bread. Put it on a baking sheet with parchment paper, grease with a small amount of sunflower oil and leave it in a warm place, covering it with a towel, for about 40-45 minutes.

5

Send the risen bread to the oven, after making transverse cuts on it, and bake it at a temperature of 220 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Do not forget to lower the temperature in the oven to 180 degrees when the baking is covered with a golden brown.

6

Cool the pastries, after which, after slicing, serve to the table. Zucchini bread is ready!
