Peel the onions, thinly cut into half rings. To make the dish delicious and fragrant, you need to fry the onion a little. To do this, put a piece of butter in a pan with a thick bottom and melt it.

Fry the onion over moderate heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula. See that it does not burn. Passer the onion until it is light golden and soft. For a ruddy shade, pick up sweet onion varieties. The roasting process will take about 20 minutes.

Add salt, pepper, add sugar to the onion and add flour. Cook another 10 minutes. While preparing the onions, cook the chicken or beef broth, strain.

Add hot broth (half of what you prepared) to the pan with sautéed onion, bring to a boil, cook over medium heat for at least 15 minutes. When the water evaporates a little, pour in the remaining broth and white wine for piquancy, cook another 30-40 minutes.

The soup should be moderately thick. Pour it into plates or heat resistant pots.
Cut the baguette, put it in the soup, drowning them a little. It should get a little wet on both sides. You can take ordinary crackers. Sprinkle grated cheese over the soup with plenty. Serve hot soup to the table.
