Sweet bell peppers can be found in the recipes of many European cookbooks. It is part of hot dishes, snacks and salads. It is used for the preparation of winter blanks. But one of the most common dishes is stuffed peppers with meat filling.

In order to stuff bell pepper with filling, it must be prepared in advance. To do this, you can select the following components:

- a pound of ground beef;

- one and a half glasses of rice;

- 2 carrots;

- 2 onions;

- 3 - 4 meaty tomatoes;

- 50 grams of sunflower oil or pork fat (for frying);

- spices to taste (basil, black pepper);

- salt.

Instead of the prepared stuffing, you can take the meat and twist the stuffing yourself. It is advisable to choose pork and beef in equal proportions.

If you use poultry meat or veal for the filling and do not fry vegetables for fat, the peppers will turn out to be less high-calorie. They can be used as a dietary product.

You can use any rice for stuffed peppers, but round is preferable. The right amount of cereal must be washed under running water. Then rice should be poured with three glasses of water and put on fire. Bring to a boil and let it swell a little (until half ready). Remove from heat and drain through a colander.

Prepare vegetables for minced meat. Onions and carrots must be peeled and finely chopped. For carrots, you can use a coarse grater.

Pour the tomatoes with boiling water and peel them. Then chop as finely as possible.

Put a deep frying pan on the fire, pour sunflower oil into it and heat it. Put onions and brown. Next, spasserovat carrots. Mix everything and add chopped tomato. Stew vegetables for about five minutes. Add spices to them, mix.

Mix minced meat, expressed rice and stewed vegetables, salt to taste. Stuffing is ready.

Cooking Stuffed Peppers

For stuffing, it is advisable to pick peppers of the same length. Gently, using a knife, remove the tail and the core of the vegetable with seeds. Rinse the peppers. Filling them with minced meat is not very tight. Place stuffed vegetables in a cauldron or ducklings while standing. Pour tomato sauce and put on a slow fire. Cover loosely with a lid. Simmer until fully cooked.

For stuffing, you can use pickled peppers prepared for the winter.
