  1. Take a tomato by one side, holding it on a hard surface. Insert a sharp peeling knife at the edge of the core to a depth of about 2 cm. Rotate the tomato around the axis, cutting the core to remove it from the tomato.
  2. Place the tomato on the cutting board down on the side where you core, if there are few seeds in the tomato. If there are a lot of seeds in a tomato, cut it in half, put it in a slice on a cutting board. Cut the tomato into slices of the desired thickness. In order to then cut the tomato into cubes, it is better to make slices with a thickness of 0.5 - 1 cm.
  3. Set aside the cut edges of the tomato. Put tomato slices on top of one another. Cut them into long narrow pieces no wider than 1 cm. Turn these pieces and cut across to make cubes.
