Buttermilk pancakes
Pancakes mixed with buttermilk are lush, tender and tasteful. You can eat them yourself, supplementing with butter, jam, sour cream. These pancakes are also suitable for stuffing with sweet or savory fillings.
You will need:
- 500 ml of buttermilk;
- 2 eggs;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar;
- 3 tbsp. tablespoons of odorless vegetable oil;
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder;
- 1 cup of wheat flour;
- 0.5 tsp of salt;
- vegetable oil for frying;
- butter for lubrication.
Beat eggs with sugar until crystals are completely dissolved. Pour in the buttermilk and whip all over again. To make the dough fluffy and uniform, mix it with a mixer or whisk. Sift wheat flour, mix it with salt and baking powder. Pour the mixture in portions into the egg-buttermilk mass, without stopping beating. Pour in refined vegetable oil and mix again. The consistency of the dough should resemble liquid sour cream.
Preheat the pan and grease it with vegetable oil. Pour the dough into the pan in portions and, tilting it, distribute it on the surface. When the pancake is browned on one side, gently turn it over with a spatula. Stack ready-made pancakes, spreading with melted butter. Serve the items warm.
From pancakes cooked on buttermilk, you can make a delicious pie. Stacked oiled pancakes in a stack, coat with an egg, beaten with a couple of spoons of fresh buttermilk. Place the product in the oven, heated to 200 ° C, and bake until golden brown. Serve the pie with sour cream, honey or sweet and sour jam.
