It is believed that this entertainment originated in Japan. This is not entirely true. In the USA in the fifties of the last century, the concerts given by the Mitch Miller Choir were very popular. During their performances, the vocalists performed their favorite hits by listeners, and those sitting in the hall sang along. This system resembles karaoke.

However, as a phenomenon, it really originated in the land of the rising sun. Translated from Japanese, "karaoke" - "empty orchestra." In fact, this is music without words, or "backing track".

One of the most popular and believable stories of its occurrence can be considered the story of the Japanese musician Daisuk Inoue. More than thirty years ago, he worked in one of Tokyo's bars. The audience really liked the performance of the singer, and he was asked to leave a record in order to learn his favorite songs. Subsequently, Daisuke Inoue came up with a system that could play music without words. He used the backing tracks to entertain the audience who came to the concert in between the performances of his group. Unfortunately, this idea was not recognized then. It was Inoue who became the creator of karaoke, but he did not patent his brainchild. For his resourcefulness, the drummer received only the award, which was called "for the most stupid and useless invention." From the point of view of experts, Inoue could become the richest man in Japan if he formalized the rights to him. Daisuke Inoue invented a device that is a modified audio recorder. The mechanism turned on after a person dipped a hundred yen coin into it. The cost of pleasure was rather big, but this entertainment quickly gained popularity.

Several Japanese businessmen started producing karaoke systems. Over time, they were modified, supplementing the screen on which the words of the songs were broadcast. There was also an additional video sequence that accompanied the karaoke song. Such equipment began to be installed in cafes, clubs and restaurants. It has become very popular among children. There were models that could be used at home. They began to grow with various options, the range expanded.

The businessman Roberto del Rosario patented the invention in 1975. Currently, he makes a profit with each of the karaoke systems, which enters the world market.

Today you can buy a small option for home use, or a huge device that includes complex acoustic systems and laser projectors.

The development of karaoke received a new impetus with the invention of the Leadsinger microphone. It differed from others in that it could be tuned to a specific radio frequency. This allowed the use of entertainment even in nature. Music was recorded on special media that was inserted into the microphone. In addition, this product also caught the radio.

In Russia, the karaoke system appeared thanks to businessman Yan Borisovich Rovner (owner of the Autogarant exhibition center). Traveling around America, he became interested in a microphone and concluded an agreement with the manufacturer on the supply of devices to Russia. A significant contribution to the popularity of karaoke was made by the showman Sergey Minaev, who spoke about him in the program "Two Pianos".

Karaoke is a pretty profitable business. So if you want to earn decent money, try your hand in this area.
