Instruction manual

1

Buy eggshells. The more rough the structure it has, the better it will absorb the paint, which means that the color will turn out more saturated. Very smooth, glossy eggs are painted less intensely, but the shade is more uniform.

2

Boil the eggs. Make sure that they do not burst. Prepare some containers with decoction for dyeing. You will need deep pots and jars - in order for the color to turn out uniform, the eggs should be completely immersed in the coloring solution.

3

To get a rich reddish-brown color, collect the husk from 8-10 bulbs, fill it with two glasses of water and bring to a boil. In a hot solution, dip the eggs with a spoon and cook for 5 to 15 minutes. The longer the eggs are in solution, the more intense the color.

4

Grate the beets on a coarse grater, put it in a saucepan and pour water over it. Bring to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove the solution from the heat, cool, add a tablespoon of vinegar and place the eggs in the pan for 1-2 hours. After this treatment, the shell gets a bright pinkish-red tint.

5

Pour 8 tablespoons of ground coffee with two glasses of water. Bring the mixture to a boil. Dip the eggs in the solution and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Eggs should be infused in the solution for about half an hour. The result is a pleasant rich brown color of the shell.

6

Grape juice will color eggs in a beautiful light lilac shade. Add a tablespoon of vinegar to a glass of juice and soak the eggs in this mixture for several hours or all night. Just as long the shell is painted in blue. To get this tone, finely chop the red cabbage, pour it with three glasses of boiling water, cook for 5 minutes, cool slightly and pour 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Soak the eggs in the solution.

7

When the shell has the desired color, remove the eggs from the coloring solution and lay them out to dry on plates or a paper towel. Dry eggs can be given extra shine. Polish them with a cloth or cotton pad slightly moistened with vegetable oil, and lay them on plates decorated with paper lace. The main Easter treat is done.
