Ingredients:

  • Poppy - 150 g;
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 pack;
  • Baking powder - 10 g;
  • 20 percent sour cream - 0.5 kg;
  • Premium flour;
  • Creamy Margarine - 150 g;
  • Chicken eggs - 3 pcs;
  • Sheet gelatin - 10 g;
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp.

Cooking

  1. Soften margarine in room conditions. When the product is slightly thawed, mix it with sugar (at this stage we take only 3/4 cup).
  2. We drive in the eggs. Add vanilla sugar with baking powder, and then intensively beat with a whisk.
  3. Put the poppy seeds and knead the mass until smooth. Pour flour a little bit, the consistency of the dough should be close to the density of thick sour cream.
  4. We line the baking sheet with a layer of foil. We lay poppy dough and carefully level it. The cake will be baked from 15 to 25 minutes (depending on the characteristics of the oven) at 180 degrees.
  5. You can test the degree of readiness of the cake in the old fashioned way - with a match: if the tip comes out dry, the basis for the cake can be removed from the oven and set aside until it cools, without being removed from the mold.
  6. We pass to the creamy layer. Beat sour cream thoroughly with the remaining sugar. We separately prepare the gelatin, fill it with water according to the instructions and let it swell (there is less trouble with a sheet product - there is no need to boil it).
  7. Combine sweet sour cream with gelatin. Beat with a whisk and pour on the surface of the cooled cake. Put the cake in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  8. After the creamy layer thickens and thickens, the foil can be carefully removed.

Cake must be constantly stored in the cold, otherwise the layer will melt. It is recommended to decorate the cake with fresh fruit.
