The recipe remained unchanged for many years and quickly became known to a wide range of culinary specialists. "Napoleon", cooked at home, does not compare in taste with the purchased one. To prepare a true "Napoleon" should prepare two versions of the test. Remove margarine from the refrigerator, melt in a water bath. Pour about 1 cup of flour in a thin stream into the resulting mixture and mix. This will be the first test option. Next, take sour cream and beat with eggs with active movements, then add 1.3 cups of sifted flour and knead the second version of the dough.

Divide the dough into 7 equal parts, roll it thinly using a wooden rolling pin. Next, on top of each cake layer, coat the first version of the dough with margarine and flour, and then lay all the cake layers on top of each other. Roll the roll and send to the refrigerator in the bag for 10-14 hours.

After a while, remove the chilled roll and cut across into 17-22 parts. Roll each cake to a thickness of no more than 1-2 mm. Prepare the cream in advance. Mix flour (2-3 tablespoons) with sugar. Place a metal dipper with milk on the burner, into which you need to gradually pour the mixture of flour and sugar. Wait for the thickening and whip the butter into the cream with a mixer. If the consistency is airy, delicate and without lumps, then you did everything right.
