If you bought frozen mussels in shells, sort them first. Under cold tap water, clear the shell of adhering dirt. There should be no gaps between the shell flaps.

Place a pot on the stove. Put the mussels there. Pour water, it should only cover the mussels. When cooking, they will open and release water. To give the mussels a taste, add chopped onion, garlic, lemon, dry white wine to the water. Boil the mussels for 5-7 minutes. Then drain the water. Serve the mussels immediately and - right in the pan.

If you purchased frozen peeled mussels, they can be prepared in several ways. For example, for 3-5 minutes they can be boiled over low heat in salted water. Then drain the water by folding the mussels into a colander. Now mussels can be added to salads, pizza, pilaf, make an appetizer of them (mixed with finely chopped dill and mayonnaise).

Mussels can be steamed. Put the pot on the stove. 300 g of seafood lemon juice and half a glass of white wine. Simmer for several minutes over low heat. Pour the soup into plates, sprinkle with finely chopped herbs. If necessary, add a spoonful of sour cream.

Unshelled frozen mussels can immediately be fried and stewed. Heat olive oil in a pan, add finely chopped onion, garlic, celery. When the mixture turns golden, add wine and sour cream. When the sauce thickens, pour the mussels there. Stuff all 5 minutes. Serve sprinkled with herbs.

If you like to cook in the microwave, put the peeled mussels in a bowl, pour some dry wine there, salt, pepper, add marjoram. And - to the oven. Serve with cream or horseradish.

Delicious salads with mussels are obtained by adding cucumbers, avocados, lettuce, arugula. Essential mussel companions - garlic, lemon, dry white wine.
