Boil the beets quickly

Wash and place root vegetables in a pan. Pour water so that it covers the beets by 7-8 cm. Put the pan on the biggest fire without covering it. After 15 minutes of boiling, remove from the stove and place under cold water. After 5-10 minutes, the beets are completely ready.

Bake beets in the microwave

Put the washed beets in a glass dish for cooking in the microwave. Close the lid. Cook at maximum power for 15-17 minutes. After, place the beets under a stream of cold water.

Bake in the oven

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Wrap each root crop in a separate piece of foil. Place on a baking sheet and place it in the oven for 20 minutes.

Raw Beetroot Salad

Wash and peel the large beets thoroughly. If possible, use a young root crop. Rub it on a coarse grater. Peel a large sour apple. Rub on a fine grater. Chop onions finely. Grind horseradish to a mushy state. Mix all ingredients, add caraway seeds, lemon juice and finely chopped greens. Season the salad with olive oil and salt to taste.
