This dish has gained its popularity due to the simplicity of cooking and the wide variety of food options. It is enough to experiment a little with products, and a new original snack will appear on your table.

Herring paste can be made according to many recipes. Here are just a few of them. The first is the simplest. For it, you must first pass the fish cleaned from skin and bones through a meat grinder and mix with softened butter. The proportions in this case can be arbitrary. With such herring oil, spread on a piece of rye or white bread, you can start breakfast.

If the herring is too salty, fill it with milk and leave for 30-60 minutes. Soaking time depends on the degree of salinity of the fish.

The paste is no less simple, which, in addition to herring, includes cream cheese and carrots. Take one or two salted fish, 2-3 packs of soft cream cheese and one or two medium boiled carrots. Grate the carrots on a grater. Pass herring without stones through a meat grinder or grind in a blender. Combine all components and mix them thoroughly.

Want to surprise your household with an unusual and delicious dish? Then prepare herring paste with nuts and apples. In this case, these ingredients accentuate the taste of your dish. He will need one large herring, a couple of apples, one head of onion, two hard-boiled eggs (squirrels and yolks), a handful of green onions, a few tablespoons of mayonnaise for dressing and a dozen walnuts.

Unhook the nuts and chop. Peel the herring and roll its fillet with eggs, onions, apples through a meat grinder. You can also put nuts in a meat grinder. Add finely chopped green onions to the mass. Mix everything well, season with mayonnaise and you can take a sample. You can eat such a paste as an independent dish or spread on a piece of bread. If you are making a sandwich, decorate it with a mayonnaise net and egg mugs. Alternatively, you can free the baguette from the pulp and fill it with apple-herring mixture. Cut into pieces and put on a serving plate.

The variety of apples used in the preparation of herring paste depends on the salting of the fish. For spicy, it is better to take sweet apples, for salted fish, sour fruits are better.

An original paste will turn out if you prepare it from one large herring of an average ambassador, 200 g of cottage cheese, 100 g of natural yogurt, one tablespoon of lemon juice and one dessert spoon of honey. Grind in a blender and mix cottage cheese, yogurt, fish, lemon juice and honey. Arrange the resulting paste to taste with black pepper. Put the paste in the jars (it is better to use a small dish) and let it brew for three or four hours in the refrigerator. You can remove it all night, and take a sample in the morning.

For the following herring paste recipe, mix one herring, boiled carrots, two or three boiled eggs, two cream cheese, softened butter, an apple, one onion. With this mixture, you can spread sandwiches, as well as stuff baskets, tartlets and use to make canapes.
