Summer is not only relaxing on the beach, but also the time of the preparations. I have no doubt that every housewife has her own recipes for cooking pickled cucumbers, but I think there are not many recipes. I recommend cooking cucumbers with zucchini.

You will need

  • For 5 liter cans:

  • - 4 kg of cucumbers;

  • - 2 kg of squash;

  • - 2 pods of hot pepper;

  • - 10 cloves of garlic;

  • - dill umbrellas;

  • - 5 pieces. bay leaf;

  • - 5 pieces. cherry leaf;

  • - 5 pieces. currant leaf;

  • - 2 medium horseradish roots;

  • - peppercorns;

  • - cloves;

  • - vinegar essence;

  • - sugar;

  • - salt.

Rinse cucumbers and zucchini under running water. Trim the tips from the cucumbers. A zucchini cut into rings.

Prepare banks. Rinse thoroughly and sterilize in a water bath. Do not touch the covers yet.

Cooking dill, leaves and garlic. We carefully wash the greens under running water, peel the garlic.

We begin to lay in prepared jars. At the bottom there is an umbrella of dill, a leaf of cherry, currant, a small piece of horseradish, garlic and hot pepper. Next, lay the cucumbers with zucchini.

Pour water into the pan, bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Then carefully pour the prepared jars of vegetables with boiling water. Leave for 10 minutes, then drain the water from the cans into the sink. And we repeat the process - we pour fresh water into the pan, boil and pour into jars. After 10 minutes, drain the water.

Preparing the third fill. This will already be our marinade. We take salt at the rate of one dessert spoon of salt and 2 dessert spoons of sugar in one jar. Add to boiling water and boil for 10 minutes, then add bay leaf.

Add several peas of allspice and two cloves to the jars. Pour the jars with the prepared brine so that the water spills out. In each jar, add one teaspoon of vinegar essence.

Leave to stand for 15 minutes, at this time boil the metal lids. Cover and roll up. Turn upside down and put under the "coat" until it cools completely.

After cooling, you must quickly place the jars in the basement or refrigerator.

If you doubt the quality of the vinegar essence, then it can be put in the freezer, if it freezes, then a fake.

Useful advice

Do not use iodized salt. It is better to take coarse salt without any additives.
