Exotic fruits of Thailand to everyone's taste. One loses peace from the soft and sweet pineapple, the second falls in love with a suspiciously smelling durian, the third dreams of a translucent gentle "dragon's eye." And everyone wants to bring them to relatives and friends. How to deliver delicate tropical creatures to your home? Pretty simple. It is only necessary to prepare.

Instruction manual

1

For transportation, choose those fruits that can lie down for a day or two and not become sour. For example, it can be pineapples, mangoes, lychees, rambutan, longan, dragon fruit, guava, mangosteen, papaya, rakam, santol, tamarind, tangerine, sapodilla, pomelo, shompa. All of them perfectly tolerate transportation, so focus on your own taste. Definitely you can not transport durian. The tablets with this fruit, crossed out by a red cross (they prohibit the entry of durian into the premises), hang everywhere in Thailand, including at the airport.

2

Buy a container or fruit basket locally - in Thailand. They are sold both in large supermarkets and in small shops. Of course, in a large store, the choice of containers in volume and shape is much larger, and the price may be lower. Grab an opaque plastic bag or a large shopping bag from home and bring it to Thailand along with special disposable plastic screeds purchased in advance at the hardware store.

3

Gently place the fruits in the basket. Put heavier and less crumpled fruits down so that they all do not press too hard on each other. The container should be as full as possible so that the fruits in it with the lid closed do not move freely. Pack the fruit basket in a large bag.

4

If you don’t have a bag, put the fruit in a black plastic bag (so that the contents attract less attention). Place the bag in the container. Fix the lid of the container with the fruit ties. Fruits are ready for baggage.

5

There are no official restrictions on the export and import of Thai fruits today. However, in order not to get into trouble, at the airport of arrival of a flight from Thailand, before flying off to rest, find out: have there been any changes in the customs control rules?

6

Another subtlety: excess baggage. Do not forget about the existing restrictions on the allowed free baggage allowance - 23 kg. And this should be one place. A substantial surcharge is taken for the second and subsequent ones.

note

In fact, it all depends on specific people. It happens that the fruits that tourists carry in their hand luggage are taken away. And vice versa. Therefore, it is safer and more practical to transport them delivered to the luggage compartment.
