You will need

  • - 1 kg of minced meat

  • - 120 g steamed rice

  • - 3 medium tomatoes

  • - 1 onion

  • - 1 large egg

  • - 3 tbsp. l tomato paste

  • - 2 bay leaves

  • - salt

  • - pepper

  • - vegetable oil

Instruction manual

1

Stuff the minced meat in a bowl, add salt, pepper and other spices (optional). Beat the egg into the minced meat. Chop the onion in a blender or chop finely, put in the minced meat, carefully mix everything with your hands and beat.

2

Pour 300 ml of water into the pan, pour rice into it, add salt and cook until rice is half-cooked. Discard the rice in a colander so that the glass is excess liquid. Pour the rice into the minced meat, mix well.

3

Pour vegetable oil into a deep thick-walled pan, heat it. From the forcemeat, form medium-sized balls. Put the meatballs in a pan and fry over medium heat. They should find a beautiful golden crust.

4

Take a pan, put meatballs in it.

5

Peel the tomatoes. This can be done easily by pre-dousing them with boiling water. Transfer the tomatoes into a blender and grind into gruel, put in a bowl, add tomato paste, salt, pepper and bay leaves, mix everything thoroughly. Pour the resulting tomato sauce into a pan and boil for 4-6 minutes. If the consistency is too thick, add a little water to the tomato sauce.

6

Pour the meatballs with tomato sauce, put on medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Put the prepared meatballs in tomato sauce on plates, serve.

note

Form the meatballs with wet hands, so the stuffing will not stick.

Useful advice

Meatballs can be put in a hot oven for 15 minutes, instead of stewing.
