Rinse the beets thoroughly under running water, then boil them until cooked, then cool to room temperature.

Wash lemon, cut in half and squeeze juice. The zest of one of the halves of the lemon is rubbed on a fine grater.

The cooled beets are peeled and passed through a meat grinder. Sugar, butter, lemon peel and its juice are added to the resulting mass. Mix everything thoroughly. Then the mixture is put on a small fire and heated for ten minutes. At the same time, you need to try not to let the beets burn.

Peel the onion, wash it in running water and finely chop. After that, it is fried in a pan in sunflower oil and added to salted mushrooms, previously washed and uncut in small pieces.

Green onions are thoroughly washed and chopped with a knife. Parsley or dill is also chopped.
