Onions often seem to us tasteless and "evil", but from it you can cook incredibly tasty and mouth-watering soup. On the contrary, it turns out to be very sweet and mild in taste. Having tried onion soup once, you will definitely want to cook it a second time, and there are many variations of onion soup, one of which is “Onion soup in pots”.

You will need
- - 5 pieces. onions
- - 700 ml of broth (for example, fish, vegetable, chicken)
- - 250 g of ready puff pastry
- - 3-4 tbsp. l butter
- - 1-2 eggs
- - 30 g flour
- - salt
- - pepper
- - dill

Peel the onion, rinse it in cold running water, and dry on a paper towel. Put the processed onion on a cutting board, chop it finely enough.

Put butter in a saucepan, melt it, put onion and fry until golden brown. Add flour to the onion, mix thoroughly and fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Pour the broth into the pan with onions and flour, cook for 20 minutes.

Prepare the pots: wash them, preheat in the oven. Put the oven at 200 degrees to heat up.

Pour onion soup into pots, salt and pepper to taste. Heat the finished dough to room temperature, roll it out in a thin layer, cut circles the size of the lid of the pots. Cover the pots with these circles. Beat the egg in a separate container, spread the dough on it.

Put onion soup in the oven for 20 minutes. Take the finished dish out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve.

Dough must be covered necessarily, as it makes the soup more fragrant and rich. Soup is eaten with dough, it serves as bread.
