You will need

  • - pork 400 g

  • - beef 300 g

  • - champignons 100 g

  • - bacon 8 slices

  • - onion 1 pc.

  • - bread (white) 3 slices

  • - chicken egg 1 pc.

  • - cow's milk 50 ml

  • - garlic one clove

  • - basil 4 leaves

  • - olive oil, necessary for frying and for lubrication of 2 tbsp. l + 1 tbsp. l

  • - rosemary (dry leaves) 1 large pinch

  • - salt, black pepper (ground) to taste.

Instruction manual

1

Pork and beef must be cut into pieces. Make minced meat from this and add garlic.

2

Bacon must be cut into thin plates or slices. In this case, preheat the oven to 210 degrees.

3

Peel the onion and chop it finely. Mushrooms should be wiped with a rag (they do not need to be washed) and cut into small cubes. In a pan, be sure to preheat the olive oil and put the onions in there, while frying it must be on a very low heat until golden brown.

4

Then add mushrooms and mix it all, you can add a little fire and fry until all the liquid has evaporated. A minute before cooking, you need to add a couple of basil leaves.

5

You need to remove the crust from the bread (it is not needed), and the pulp must be ground with milk until a homogeneous mass is formed.

6

In a separate bowl, mix the minced meat, soaked bread, egg, onion mass with mushrooms and add pepper and salt.

7

Mix everything thoroughly.

8

Cover the baking sheet with parchment and grease it with olive oil. From the minced meat you need to form a "loaf".

9

Then wrap it in slices of bacon and you need to tuck the edges under the stuffing.

10

It should be exactly the shape of the "loaf".

eleven

Sprinkle everything with rosemary and put in the oven. After about 10 minutes, this temperature must be reduced to 180 degrees and bake another 60 minutes. It is not worth watering the “loaf” with juice, the bacon plates themselves will melt and moisten all the minced meat with their own juice.

12

Remove the snack from the oven and cover with foil for 15 minutes. This will help the juices not to leak, but to get drawn into the “loaf” and meat, so it will be very juicy.

thirteen

Mitlof is always served warm on a preheated dish or cold, but cut into slices.
