Regardless of whether you bought fruit in bulk or gathered a very large crop, or simply bought too many boxes of seasonal berries, you need to do something with them until they have soured. The best solution would be to freeze them for the future, so that in winter you can also treat yourself to summer fruits and berries.

Instruction manual

1

Wash fruits using only cold water. Water will wash away pesticides that may be on the surface of the fruit. Then wipe the fruit with a paper towel.

2

Cut the fruit into pieces. If you freeze berries, such as strawberries, you can skip this step. However, the general rule is that it is better to freeze the slices, since they are more easily frozen than whole fruits and berries.

3

Transfer the chopped fruit onto a plate covered in baking paper. Make sure that the pieces do not touch, otherwise they will stick together with each other during the freezing process. Place the plate in the freezer.

4

When the fruits are completely frozen, you can move them from the plate to a container that is more convenient for storage, for example, in a plastic bag or vacuum packaging. Leave in the freezer until necessary.

note

Frozen fruits should be thawed in the refrigerator, moving them there from the freezer the day before the intended preparation, or in cold water without removing them from the plastic bag.
