What is oatmeal and oatmeal?

If you conduct a detailed review of this issue with a deeper understanding of the production methodology, you can get the following results. Oatmeal or, as it is also called, oatmeal is a whole grain, in its appearance a bit like ordinary rice. For the preparation of grain requires a longer time - usually at least 30 minutes.

Hercules, in turn, is the commercial name for cereals made from whole oats. It is obtained in the following way - in special industrial machines, the grain is first cleaned, then steamed and flattened. In principle, oatmeal is a fundamentally different product from oatmeal, the preparation of which takes only 5-8 minutes or even a simple steaming with boiling water.

At the same time, it is believed that hercules is a less useful product, since prolonged heat treatment can literally wash out useful vitamins and substances from it. It is, of course, quite satisfying, but some nutritionists call hercules an “empty product, ” which is suitable for infrequent snacks and does not have a valuable oatmeal rejuvenating and healing effect.
