Simple pea soup with smoked chicken

Ingredients:

- 1 large smoked ham;

- 1 tbsp. peas;

- 1.5 liters of water;

- 1 carrot;

- 1 onion;

- 3 potatoes;

- 1 green bell pepper;

- 0.5 tsp hops-suneli;

- a pinch of cardamom;

- salt.

If the ham seems too fat to you, take 4 wings instead and cut them into phalanges.

Rinse the peas several times, each time allowing the liquid to drain completely until it becomes clear. Pour the peas with cold water, leave them to soak for 2 hours, then drop them into a colander. Cut the flesh from the ham into small slices along with the skin and fat. Combine the two main ingredients of the dish, peas and chicken, in a bowl of a multicooker, pour in water and cover the dishes with a lid. Select the “Soup” mode on the display and set the timer for 2 hours.

Cut the peel from the potato, cut it into cubes and place in cold water so that it does not darken. Peel the carrots and grate it on a coarse grater. Remove the peel from the onion and chop it into thin half rings. Remove the cuttings and seeds from the bell pepper and chop it with a narrow straw. Transfer prepared vegetables to smoked pea brew. Mix everything well, season with spices and salt to taste. Stew the dish for another hour without changing the cooking program, then pour it on the plates. Sprinkle portions with fresh herbs and serve with bread or croutons.
