- filtered water;

- dry white wine (1/2 cup);

- nectarines (1/2 kg);

- granulated sugar (1/2 cup);

- ripe plum (420 g);

- dry cloves (4 pieces);

- orange peel;

- ginger root (2 circles).

Rinse thoroughly the ripe plum, separate all the bones very carefully with a very sharp knife, while taking care not to touch the pulp, which must then be cut into very thin and neat slices. In a large saucepan, mix white dry wine, orange zest, granulated sugar, ginger root, sliced ​​in circles, add half a glass of filtered water and clove buds.

After that, bring the entire contents of the pan to a boiling state, then reduce the heat greatly and continue cooking the syrup for another 10 minutes. Sliced ​​plums into freshly prepared, hot wine syrup, continue cooking dessert for another 5 minutes.

Turn off the burner, then leave the plums in the wine syrup under the lid until they are completely cooled. Once the dessert in the wine syrup has completely cooled down, it should be transferred to storage in glass jars, carefully closed with a lid and rearranged in some cool place.

Plums in wine syrup on the table can be served as a festive dessert in a beautiful deep transparent glass vase. You can decorate such a delicious and unusual dessert with slices of nectarines, as well as chopped fresh ginger.
