Two bottles of champagne for the newlyweds have long become a tradition: one is supposed to open on the first wedding anniversary, the second - with the birth of the first-born. Will the sparkling liquid be drunk and the container in the trash? Of course not, if on the day of the wedding the guests will present the bride and groom with original bottles!

You will need

Bottles, decoupage paper, baked paints in glass granules ("creative granules") and glue for them, film for design (Italian "Sospeso Trasparente" or another), PVA glue, double-sided printing of butterflies (or cut-out pictures), acrylic varnish, fine wire, beads, cotton swab, alcohol or dishwashing liquid, hair dryer

Instruction manual

1

Degrease bottlenecks by wiping with cotton swabs moistened with alcohol or a sponge with dishwashing detergent. Apply “creative granule” glue to the necks. Then distribute the granules on the top of the bottle at short intervals. Wipe off glue smudges with a cotton swab. After glue, immediately rinse the brush with hot water and detergent. After the glued granules have completely dried, blow dry the bottles with a hairdryer.

2

Put butterflies in water for 10 - 15 minutes. Then connect them to the film with decoupage glue. It is better to degrease the film before gluing butterflies. After drying completely, carefully cut out the pictures. Give them volume by heating above a small candle at a height of 2 cm. Move the butterflies above the flame in a circular motion until light deformation begins, and then give them a natural look with the round end of a ballpoint pen. Everything must be done quickly: the film remains elastic for no more than a couple of seconds!

3

Start decorating bottles with decoupage paper using PVA glue. Tearing small pieces, first glue the areas between the influx of paint on the glass. Connect the pieces of paper either end-to-end or with a minimal overlap. On flat areas you can glue larger pieces, on convex or concave - smaller ones. This will help to avoid creases.

4

When the bottles are completely covered with paper, apply acrylic varnish on them (at least 5-6 layers). Butterflies should be coated with the same varnish.

5

Put the last coat of varnish using beads. Decorate the butterflies (also with the help of varnish) with wire and beads and glue them to the bottles.

Useful advice

Instead of butterflies, you can make flowers.
