Dried raspberries retain all their beneficial properties, so drying is the best method for harvesting this berry for the winter. Raspberries can be dried both outdoors and using various appliances, such as an oven.

You will need

  • - oven;

  • - a baking sheet;

  • - cotton towel, napkin or baking paper;

  • - raspberries;

  • - linen bags for berries.

Instruction manual

1

Sort the raspberries, removing all the garbage, wrinkled and spoiled berries. Cover the pan with a towel or baking paper (of course, it is better to use the second option to avoid spoiling such necessary kitchen utensils as towels). Lay the berries on a baking sheet in a thin layer. If you use overripe raspberries, then lay the berries so that they do not touch each other, otherwise they will stick together among the drying process.

2

Place the baking sheet in the oven on the lower compartment and turn on the appliance by adjusting the temperature on it to 60 degrees. Close the oven door and let the berries dry for one hour.

3

After an hour, remove the baking sheet with raspberries from the oven, gently mix the berries, distribute them evenly on paper, reduce the heating of the appliance to 50 degrees, then place the baking sheet in the oven again, but already on the upper compartment. Leave the oven door open.

4

Thus, stir the berries every hour, alternate the height of the pan, while keeping the oven door open during the remaining drying (this will allow the berries to dry, not bake them).

5

After 6-8 hours, drying will be completed. It is not difficult to check whether the berries have dried sufficiently, you need to take a few berries and roll them in the palm of your hand. The finished product has a non-sticky dry surface, a dense structure and a grayish-raspberry color, dry raspberries do not stain hands.

Wait until the berries are at room temperature, then disband them in linen bags and put them in a dry, dark place.
