Red caviar is one of the most desired delicacies, without which not a single feast can do. It is impossible to imagine a New Year's table without delicious sandwiches with butter and caviar. It is hard to believe that several centuries ago this product was considered absolutely mundane and everyday, it was literally eaten with spoons.

Instruction manual

1

Today, red caviar is bought only on the eve of holidays and feasts. The reason for this is the high cost of the product. Tiny jars of caviar can cost a fortune, and the quality of the product remains in question. In our stores, spoiled, artificial or tinted caviar is often found, as well as caviar, stuffed with preservatives prohibited in the Russian Federation. But choosing a delicacy in a store is half the battle. Having bought red caviar in advance, at a sale, we often suffer from the question - how can we keep it to the feast safe and sound?

2

If you have purchased several jars of caviar, then when closed, they can be stored in the refrigerator for quite some time. Thanks to preservatives and special additives, caviar will patiently wait for serving for at least two months. An open can will stand in the refrigerator for no more than a couple of days (maximum 5 days). In order for it not to dry out and not lose its taste, you can pour caviar on top with sunflower oil. It will create a film on the surface of the caviar, which will prevent the penetration of air.

3

The most controversial issue regarding the storage of caviar is freezing. Some people argue that it is impossible to store red caviar in the freezer, while others have repeatedly practiced this method of storage. In fact, when stored at low temperatures, this delicacy loses some of its taste, eggs break and stick together. From delicate caviar, your delicacy threatens to turn into a homogeneous mass.

Useful advice

1) Caviar is almost as easy to poison as mushrooms. If you have any suspicions about the smell or appearance of the product, then it is better to abandon its use.

2) The shelf life of caviar also depends on its quality and manufacturer.
