So sometimes you want to cook something simple, fast and most importantly tasty. One of the most delicious and simple pastries is shortbread cookies, which can be cooked both on a baking sheet in the oven and in a pan. The secret of cooking is very simple, and to make the cookies crumbly and tasty, you should apply some tricks.

Even inexperienced housewife can cook ordinary homemade cookies. It is better to cook it on a dry frying pan, it should be with a non-stick coating.

Shortbread cookies differ from ordinary cookies in that they turn out to be quite friable and do not require a large amount of ingredients for cooking.

You will need:

- 1.5-2 cups of already sifted premium wheat flour;

- 1 teaspoon of baking powder or half a teaspoon of soda;

- 1/3 cup sugar;

- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil;

- egg yolk;

- 1/3 cup sour cream 20% fat;

- nuts, raisins or candied fruit to taste.

Cooking method

1. In a deep bowl, you need to mix flour and baking powder, you can use soda instead of the second.

2. In a separate bowl you need to cook vegetable oil, sour cream, egg yolk, sugar and mix well, preferably with a mixer. Sugar should be completely dissolved.

3. Add flour while stirring constantly. The dough should not stick to your hands. You can also add nuts, candied fruits, honey or vanilla sugar to your taste. Before frying, the dough should be covered with a film and put in for 20 minutes.

4. Put the chilled dough on a board sprinkled with flour in advance and roll out the “sausage”, then cut it into 2 cm wide rings, preferably each piece is crushed a little.

5. For frying, take a clean pan, it must be dry. Oil does not need to be poured, since it is already in the dough, so it will not be required for frying. Put the cookies and bake on both sides until a golden crust is formed. On each side will be enough for 3 minutes. Fire should be reduced to a minimum.

After cooking, you can sprinkle cookies on top with powdered sugar, grated chocolate or garnish with whipped protein. Classic shortbread cookies are prepared without various additives, such as nuts and candied fruits, so you can do without them. But more often than not, such baked goods are prepared with chocolate or coconut.
