    • For filling:
    • 3 onions;
    • 500 g of cabbage;
    • vegetable oil;
    • 4 eggs;
    • 50 g of poppy;
    • salt;
    • ground black pepper.
    • For the test:
    • 300 g of milk;
    • 70 g of sugar;
    • salt to taste;
    • 1 egg
    • 500 g flour;
    • 1 sachet of dry yeast;
    • 1.5 tbsp. l vegetable oil;
    • 100 g butter;
    • 1 yolk.

Prepare the filling for the pie. Chop the onion very finely, chop the cabbage into strips. Then fry the onion in a pan in a small amount of vegetable oil until golden brown. Add the cabbage to it and simmer until it becomes soft.

In a small bowl, beat the eggs, pour them into the cabbage along with the steamed poppy seeds, mix everything well, salt and pepper. Add some hot water if necessary. Simmer for another five to seven minutes under the lid, immediately remove the pan from the heat and let the filling cool.

While the filling is cooling, prepare the dough for the pie. In warm milk, add sugar, salt, an egg and beat everything with a mixer. Mix the sifted flour with dry yeast, carefully pour into milk and mix thoroughly.

When you get a homogeneous mass, add vegetable and melted warm butter. Now knead the dough thoroughly and leave it in a warm place for 30-40 minutes to make it fit.

Then divide the dough in half and roll out two layers with a thickness of not more than one centimeter. Take a deep baking sheet, greased with vegetable oil and sprinkled with flour, put one of the layers of dough on it and gently straighten it.

Put the cooled filling evenly on the dough and cover it with a second layer on top, pinching the edges tightly. In the middle of the upper layer, make a small round hole for steam to escape from the filling during baking.

Grease the cake with whipped yolk and let stand for 10 minutes. After that, put in the oven preheated to 180-200 ° C and bake for 30-40 minutes. When the cake is lightly browned, be sure to reduce the heat.

Remove the finished cake from the oven, grease with oil, cool, cut into pieces and serve with milk.
