Beat the egg in a dense foam. When the foam is strong enough, add sugar into it without stopping whipping. Add soft butter and honey to the whipped mass. Stir all the ingredients.

Grind the cloves in a coffee grinder together with a tablespoon of sugar to a powder state. Sift the flour and mix it with ground cloves, ginger, cinnamon. Add baking powder or a teaspoon of soda, slaked with vinegar.

Add flour to the egg-oil mixture. Knead the dough. It should turn out plastic enough to roll it with a rolling pin. Roll out the dough about 0.5 centimeters thick. When forming cookies, use cookie cutters of various shapes. If there are no tins, cut cookies from a sheet of dough with a regular glass. Alternatively, use a knife and diagonally cut the sheet into strips with a net, then it will be in the form of rhombuses. You can also form balls of dough. Sprinkle the obtained cookie blanks with sugar and decorate with ginger candied fruits. If the cookies will serve as a decoration on the tree, then make holes in them for the ropes.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Grease a baking sheet with butter or cover with baking paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep track of cookies and vary the baking time. When the cookie is ready, remove the pan from the oven and use a spatula to remove the cookie from it.
