A wonderful holiday is approaching - March 8. I want something unusual to appear on our table. So that guests and household members gasp in admiration and eat everything clean.

The Milky Way cake will be a wonderful decoration of the festive table. Baking it is easy, but you need to calculate the time, remembering that the cake should stand overnight in the refrigerator.

You will need

  • To make a biscuit:

  • - chicken eggs - 5 pcs.,

  • - granulated sugar - 200 g,

  • - flour - 200 g,

  • - cocoa powder - 2 tbsp. l.,

  • - baking powder 0.5 tsp.,

  • - vanillin on the tip of a knife.
  • Milk impregnation:

  • - milk 250 ml,

  • - thick fruit syrup,

  • - cognac, liquor or fragrant balm
  • To decorate:

  • - cream at least 20% fat,

  • - icing sugar 200 g,

  • - strawberry or orange jam - 150 g,

  • - grated chocolate - 100 g.

Proteins are carefully separated from the yolks. Beat the whites in a strong foam, adding 150 grams of sugar. First, beat with a mixer at low speed, gradually increasing it and gradually adding sugar. Beat until persistent peaks appear.

Beat the yolks with the remaining sugar and cocoa powder. Add vanillin.

Combine the whipped whites with the yolks and mix very carefully. If the whites are whipped qualitatively, they will not settle.

Add flour to the mixture, gently mixing from the bottom up. Pour the dough quickly into the mold and put in the oven preheated to 200 degrees. The heat is slightly reduced. Bake for about half an hour, trying the preparedness with a wooden speck.

While the biscuit is baking, prepare an impregnation. Mix milk with a small amount of liquor (cognac, balm) and fruit syrup. Impregnation should not be too sweet. Here you need to focus on your own perception - the taste of the cake will depend on the taste of the impregnation.

Remove the finished biscuit from the oven and, while hot, pour cold soaking over the entire surface. Then cover with cling film and put at least six hours in a cold place, and preferably at night.

Cut the chilled biscuit into nine or twelve servings with a sharp thin knife. Generously grease the entire surface of the biscuit with jam.

Cover the cake with a thick layer of whipped cream. Level the surface.

Grate a bar of chocolate on a fine grater. Sprinkle thickly over a layer of whipped cream. Draw a drawing on the surface (optional).

There is alcohol in the cake! This dessert is not suitable for children's parties. If children are present at the festive table, it is recommended to reduce the amount of alcohol or eliminate it altogether.

Useful advice

The cake is served in the same form in which it was baked. Consider this fact and take care of beautiful dishes in advance.

If the cream does not whip well, you can use a cream fixer. But it should be remembered that it can slightly change the taste of the cream. A bowl in which cream is whipped is best placed in a bowl of snow or crushed ice.

To get good protein foam, you need to take absolutely clean dishes, without the slightest trace of fat, and not a drop of yolk should get into the proteins themselves.
