Fajitos is the national dish of Mexico, which consists of vegetables and fried meat. Mexican cuisine is distinguished by its love of sauces and hot chili peppers, so Fajitos will be appreciated by lovers of bright and spicy dishes.

You will need

  • - 3 pcs. bell pepper

  • - 1 red onion

  • - 4 cloves of garlic

  • - 50 ml of orange juice

  • - 50 ml of table vinegar

  • - pepper

  • - oregano

  • - ground chili

  • - green onions

  • - olive oil

  • - 2 tomatoes

  • - cilantro

  • - chilli

  • - lime juice

  • - 4 tortilla cakes

Finely chop the garlic and put it in a blender. Add 50 ml of orange juice, 50 ml of table vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano, a pinch of ground chili pepper and mix everything until smooth.

Cut the beef into thin strips of 5 cm and place in a deep bowl. Pour the cooked marinade, cover the bowl with cling film and put in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Peel the bell peppers from the seeds and cut into thin strips. Chop green onions with feathers of 5 cm. Heat a deep frying pan, add olive oil and fry vegetables until cooked.

To make salsa sauce, take 2 tomatoes and a red onion. Dice vegetables and add chopped cilantro.

Peel the chili peppers and chop finely. Put the vegetables in a bowl, pour lime or lemon juice and leave to marinate for 20-30 minutes.

Sauté the marinated meat over high heat until golden brown. Add vegetables to the cooked meat and mix well.

Preheat the tortillas in the oven. Serve hot fajitos to the table, along with tortillas and salsa sauce.

Instead of tortilla, you can use pita bread or ciabatta.

Useful advice

If you use multi-colored bell pepper (red, green, yellow, orange), then "Fajitos" will look brighter and more appetizing.
