A raw food diet is a food system in which the use of products without heat treatment is allowed.

When food is not exposed to heat, enzymes are stored in it - enzymes that are actively involved in maintaining immunity and the healthy functioning of the body. Raw food is "live", which determines its beneficial properties.

Raw foodists can eat the following foods:

  • leafy greens (salads, dill, parsley, basil, nettle, etc.);
  • fruit (fresh or dried);
  • vegetables, except starchy (fresh and dried);
  • berries (dried, fresh);
  • nuts and seeds (not fried);
  • honey;
  • seaweed;
  • sea ​​salt in a small amount;
  • dried herbs and cold pressed vegetable oils;
  • seedlings of cereals and seeds (chickpeas, buckwheat, wheat, rye, oats, sunflower seeds, etc.);
  • water (living, i.e. structured, silicon).

Some products are permissible to heat up to 35-40 Celsius. This applies to products that do not lose their properties during processing: carrots, cabbage. It is also possible to brew herbs in warm water (not more than 40 degrees Celsius). You can prepare many different and tasty dishes from acceptable products.

Allowed, but in limited quantities: sauerkraut, vinegar, sea salt, bananas, yogurt (depending on the type of raw food diet), onions, garlic.

In raw food there are some variations on acceptable products. So, raw foodists are divided into 5 main areas:

  1. Omnivores raw foodists. With this method of nutrition, all raw foods are permissible, including meat, fish, eggs and all dairy products.

  2. Raw meat and meat eating. You can eat any raw and dried meat, but you need to minimize greens, vegetables and fruits, oils, grains, all dairy.

  3. Raw vegetarianists. All that vegetarians eat is permissible, with one exception - food should not be cooked. Eggs and milk are acceptable; exclude meat and fish.

  4. Raw vegans. Only raw food, animal products excluded.

  5. Fructorians. Allowed only fruits - fruits, berries, in raw form.

A raw food diet can become a way of life. But a lot of people resort to such a nutrition system for a short period of time, from several months to several years in order to improve the body and lose weight.

Weight loss occurs due to the fact that with such nutrition, toxins leave the body, food is low-calorie. There is no fried, boiled, starchy food in the diet; trans fats and carcinogens are not formed during cooking, which, in turn, heals the body.

All this contributes to well-being and a sense of additional energy, many diseases go away by themselves.
