In some ways they are right. She really looks like a layer cake. This recipe is ideal for all those who don’t want, don’t like or who simply can’t “wrap” ordinary cabbage rolls.

Minced meat components can be changed. The meat can be combined with rice and serve casserole with tomato sauce, or you can cook minced porridge. The taste is awesome!

Casserole Products:

• White cabbage

• Minced meat (500 g pork and 500 g turkey meat)

• Red onion

• Laurel leaf

• cloves

• Salt

• Olive 30 ml

• Form oil

• Carrot 2 pcs

• Garlic, 2 cloves

• Pearl barley, 100 g

• Oregano (can be dried)

• Tomatoes in own juice 1 can

How to cook:

• Boil water in a deep pan. Remove the core from the cabbage with the sharp end of the knife. Lower the cabbage into boiling water and cook for ten to eight minutes.

• Rub the bottom and walls of the baking dish with oil. The entire area of ​​the form should be covered with boiled cabbage leaves. The remaining leaves will go for the layers.

• Boil cereal in salted water. Drain and allow to cool. Fry finely chopped onions and carrots in oil. Five minutes is enough. Add chopped garlic, seasonings, as well as tomatoes along with the sauce. Stew until all moisture disappears. Then wait for the mass to cool.

• In a deep container, combine meat, porridge and vegetables from the pan. Salt, do not forget about pepper.

• Put 1/3 of the minced meat on the leaves, make a layer of cabbage, then spread the mince again. Repeat until the filling is over. Cover the top of the casserole with leaves.

• Bake for an hour and a half (140 degrees). Transfer the finished casserole to a wide dish or tray. Cut like a cake. Done!
