To quickly prepare dinner, you do not need to look for tricky recipes. Tasty and satisfying food for the family can be a simple and well-known Russian people dish - baked potatoes with lard. For cooking, you need a minimum of ingredients, time and participation. In addition, baking potatoes in the oven, you can easily get rid of the remnants of vegetables and other products that were left in the refrigerator.

So, first you need to peel the tubers and rinse them in water. The number of potatoes should be selected based on the size of the pan, but a little more is better than less. You will also need to peel a couple of medium onions and wash a medium-sized bunch of parsley and dill. If you plan to dispose of vegetables by roasting, you will also have to prepare them: peel, cut off spoiled places and wash well.

You usually don’t have to choose fat for potatoes, but if you already have the opportunity, it is better to take it with a thin slot, the amount of meat in the slice should be no more than a third. Soak fat for 10 minutes in water, wash and cut into large slices. Slicing should be folded into a small bowl, pepper and salt, add a couple of cloves of finely chopped garlic and leave for 15-20 minutes.

Lard can not be chopped finely, and stuffed with garlic and cover with potatoes on a baking sheet. In this case, serving the food to the table will be more effective, but cutting potatoes is not recommended finely.

You can cut potatoes in different ways: slices, cubes, you can simply divide large tubers in half. There is only one condition: the larger the slices, the longer the dish will bake. When cutting, you must also focus on the depth of the pan. At the bottom of the container in which it is planned to bake potatoes, it is necessary to pour one or two tablespoons of vegetable oil and thoroughly smear it on the surface. Half the chopped fat should be put in a baking sheet and spread over the area. A layer of onion is laid on top, cut into medium thickness by half rings. Next comes the turn of the potato: it also needs to be evenly distributed so that the thickness in all places is the same. The top layer of potatoes should be mixed with lard and sprinkled with chopped herbs. Such a “pie” can already be put in the oven, heated to 200 ° C, for 40-50 minutes, but it will turn out to be much tastier if you show your imagination: add a hat from chopped vegetables on top, pour the potatoes with egg whipped with mayonnaise, and add grated cheese.

When the potato is baked in a baking sheet, it is better to cover it with a sleeve or foil so that the top layer does not burn. 15 minutes before the readiness, the coating is removed: excess moisture immediately leaves, but an appetizing brown crust appears.

In the absence of a baking sheet, you can cook potatoes much faster: you need to wash the tubers without peeling, thoroughly wash and make a longitudinal cut in each, into which a piece of bacon, a piece of garlic, salt and black pepper are placed. When baking, the potato absorbs the aroma, it remains only to peel and serve it with a vegetable salad or canned vegetables. Well, pickled or smoked fish is suitable for such a dish of potatoes.
