It’s easy to make marshmallow mastic, the main thing is not to save on powdered sugar. Buy it more, and choose a quality product of very fine grinding. Sugar crystals caught in powder can ruin the finished mastic. Therefore, before use, the finished product is better to sift.

On sale you can find marshmallows of different colors. Most often, white and pink souffles are found, but blue, cream, lilac or greenish candies come across. Before you start making mastics, sort them by color. If you plan to paint finished products, prefer a white souffle. To sculpt flowers, you can use color.

The color of the mastic can be enhanced by adding ready-made food colors in the form of a liquid or paste.

You will need:

- 100 g marshmallows;

- 1.5 cups of powdered sugar;

- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Put the souffle in a bowl, add lemon juice and melt in a microwave oven until smooth. If necessary, add food coloring and mix. Lightly cool the mass and pour the powdered sugar into it in portions, constantly mixing the mixture.

When the mass becomes thick enough, put it out of a bowl on a wooden board and knead with your hands, continuing to pour powdered sugar. The finished mastic has a uniform, plastic texture, it does not blur and does not stick to your hands. If the mass began to crumble, sprinkle it with water, add more powder and mix for a few seconds.

Wrap the finished mastic tightly in cling film and place in the refrigerator for half an hour. When the mass hardens, you can begin to create figures.

If you still have unused mastic, tightly wrap it in plastic and put it in the refrigerator for storage.
