How to cook rice noodles

If you need to prepare rice noodles to use for cooking another hot dish, soak it in warm water. This means that you can partially cook the noodles, it will be soft on the outside, but hard inside. Soaking in warm water is also suitable for the subsequent addition of rice noodles to soup, however, dry noodles are also suitable for soups, without preliminary soaking.

Place the noodles in a large bowl and add water. It should be warm to the touch, but not hot. After seven to ten minutes in warm water, the noodles will begin to separate, which means that it is time to drain the water. After that, rinse it with cold water, this will stop the soaking process.

Thus prepared noodles can be added to fries, soup and other dishes.

To prevent the noodles from drying out, you can mix it with a little sesame oil.

Soak Rice Noodles

Soaking in boiling water is suitable if you plan to use rice noodles in any cold dishes, for example, salads. You can also use hot water to make flat noodles, which are used for wrapping.

In this case, boil water in a bowl with noodles. Unlike the more common wheat noodles, rice noodles do not need to be boiled in water, just pour hot water and leave to soak. The noodles are fully cooked in seven to ten minutes, but if you plan to use it in another dish, you should drain the water earlier, as soon as the noodles begin to separate, and then mix it with sesame oil.
