You will need

  • - 150 g butter;

  • - 2 kg of fresh pumpkin;

  • - 6 pcs. cloves of garlic;

  • - 20 g of brown sugar;

  • - 10 g ground cinnamon;

  • - 10 g of zira;

  • - 5 g of allspice;

  • - 5 g of ground nutmeg;

  • - 5 g of black ground pepper;

  • - salt to taste.

Instruction manual

1

Take a ripe pumpkin, wash it in slightly warm water, let it dry a little and cut it. With a sharp knife, carefully cut the peel. You need to cut no more than two to three centimeters, only a thick hard crust. Remove seeds from the core with your hands. Try not to remove the fibers in the core, they contain a lot of vitamins and give the pumpkin a delicate sweet taste. Cut the peeled pumpkin in identical slices of seven to eight centimeters.

2

Wash, peel and grate the garlic. You can use a garlic gadget or a blender. Take a small ceramic mortar and a stiff pestle. Pour the zira into the mortar and grind it when the seasoning becomes shallow, add ground black pepper, ground nutmeg, allspice to it and mix everything.

3

In a skillet with a thick bottom, heat the butter well. Add the mortar and cinnamon seasoning mixture, ginger, garlic and sugar to the oil. Stir and fry until sugar is melted, remove from heat.

4

Put baking paper on a baking sheet, lay out a pumpkin, salt each piece a little. Using a brush, lubricate each piece with a spicy mixture of oil. Bake for twenty minutes. Remove, turn over, grease again and bake again for twenty minutes. Ready pumpkin can be served with the rest of the spices.
