This simple recipe is becoming increasingly popular among the locals of our country, as it is easy to prepare and will not take too much time, if suddenly the guests suddenly arrived.

You will need the following products:

  • slightly salted herring;

  • Borodino bread - a few slices, depending on how many people you need to cook a snack;

  • butter;

  • dill, cilantro, parsley, onions - for decoration, to whom more is to your taste.

You can buy herring already ready in the store, or you can pickle it yourself. In the latter case, you will need to take care of the snack in advance. Butcher herring. Beet and Herring Sandwiches

Essential Ingredients:

  • slightly salted herring - 1 piece;

  • beets - 1 large or 2 medium pieces;

  • eggs - 2-3 pieces;

  • rye bread - the required number of slices;

  • mayonnaise - 100 grams;

  • green onions, dill.

Step by step recipe:

  1. Cut the bread into small pieces - a couple of bites. In a well-heated non-stick pan in a small amount of odorless sunflower oil, fry the bread on one side until crisp.

  2. Peel the boiled and cooled beets in advance, grate on a fine grater. If a lot of juice will appear, it is recommended to drain it.

  3. Peel boiled eggs, grate or finely chop.

  4. Pass the garlic through the garlic press and make a sauce of garlic, salt and mayonnaise (you can use sour cream, but mayonnaise better shade the taste of herring).

  5. Mix beets with eggs and garlic sauce.

  6. On a flat wide plate, lay the bread with the fried side down. On the unroasted side, spread a mixture of beets and eggs. Put slices of slightly salted herring on top.

  7. Garnish with chopped green onions or a sprig of dill.
