Preserving vegetables, fruits, salads and other things takes a lot of time, because it is necessary to properly prepare the fruits for preservation, rinse and sterilize the jars. Wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly, taking care not to leave debris on the fruit. If salads are being prepared, pre-cook the desired amount of lettuce and cool it slightly (to a temperature of no higher than 70 degrees).

Wash jars of the right volume using soda for the procedure. Check each jar for cracks and chips on it. Select the dishes that have no flaws at all.

Take the lids and also rinse them, but only with dishwashing detergent. Remember, metal covers cannot be washed with soda. Alternatively, mustard powder can be used for the procedure.

Fill clean jars with ready-made salad, vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices and more. If cucumbers or tomatoes are preserved, pour them with ready-made brine. Cover the jars with prepared lids.

At the bottom of the pan, put a towel folded three to four times (if there is a silicone stand, it is better to use it), and put cans with blanks on it (it is important to use cans of the same volume and height). Pour water into the pan so that it does not reach the neck of the cans by about one centimeter. Place a pot of contents on the fire.

After boiling the contents of the cans, start the countdown to the end of sterilization. Cans with a volume of 0.5-0.7 liters on fire for 10-12 minutes, and 800 gram-liter - 15-17 minutes.

At the end of time, remove the jars from the hot water, tighten the lids, turn the jars upside down, wrap them and leave them for a day. Put the cooled workpieces into storage in a place convenient for you, be it a refrigerator or a cabinet. Workpieces that have been sterilized in this way are perfectly stored even at room temperature.
