Appeared at the beginning of the 19th century, soda is nothing but ordinary mineral water, but with soda in its composition. It is used both for preparing a huge number of cocktails, including alcohol, and for drinking in its pure form.

- water - 2 tbsp.;
- blueberries - 2 tbsp.;
- sugar - 1 tbsp.;
- 1 lime juice;
- mineral water;
- ice.
- For home-made soda:
- water;
- dry yeast - 1/8 tsp;
- sugar - 2 1/4 tbsp.;
- flavoring - 1 tbsp.
- For ginger soda:
- water - 3 tbsp.;
- sugar - 2 tbsp.;
- lemongrass - 1 stalk;
- ginger - 90 g;
- juice of 1 lemon;
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp;
- mineral water.

Blueberry soda
In a medium-sized pan, pour two glasses of water and put about two glasses of washed and dried blueberries. Place the pot over medium heat and let the liquid boil. Then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and strain the mixture through a colander and cheesecloth. Cool for 15 minutes. Strained blueberry juice mix with a glass of sugar and lime juice. Put on medium heat and cook, stirring, until sugar is completely melted. Bring to a boil and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat, pour into a glass container and remove to cool in the refrigerator. Before use, combine 1/4 cup of the prepared liquid with 1 cup of mineral water. Serve with ice.

Home made soda
Dissolve dry yeast in a small amount of warm water and let it swell for 5 minutes. In the meantime, mix sugar, flavor, diluted yeast and enough water. Beat for two minutes until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the mixture into 2 two-liter jars, close them and leave to infuse for 4-6 days.
To prepare diet soda, instead of the specified amount of sugar, put 5 tbsp. sugar and a sugar substitute equivalent to two glasses of real.

Ginger soda
In a medium-sized pan, pour water, combine it with sugar. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Add lemongrass, ginger, lemon juice and vanilla. Boil over high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and leave the resulting mixture to infuse overnight. The next day, strain through a sieve. Before use, mix ginger syrup with mineral water in a 1: 1 ratio using a chilled shaker.
