Matcha is a powdered green tea that the Japanese use in their traditional tea ceremonies. It has a beautiful green color and a bitter taste. It can be used to prepare various delicacies, for example, to make such a flavored chocolate.

You will need

  • - 400 g of white chocolate (4 tiles)

  • - 1/2 tbsp. whipping cream

  • - 25 g unsalted butter

  • - 2 tbsp. l green tea in the form of powder (match) + 2 tsp. for sprinkling

  • - parchment paper

  • - baking dish 20x20 cm

Chop the white chocolate with a knife.

Slice the butter into small cubes.

Pour the cream into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. When bubbles appear, remove from heat.

Add crushed white chocolate and chopped butter to the hot cream. Stir until the structure becomes homogeneous.

Sift 2 tbsp of powdered green tea into the creamy mixture. Stir.

Cover the baking dish 20x20 cm with parchment, pour the creamy tea mixture. Smooth the surface with a spatula, it should be free of bubbles. Put in a cold place for 4-5 hours or at night.

After 4-5 hours, remove the parchment from the mold. Hold the kitchen knife under running hot water, then be sure to wipe it dry with a towel or rag. The knife should not be raw.

With a hot knife, divide the block of chocolate into 4 parts, then each of them into 9 smaller parts.

Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of green tea powder. Keep such chocolate in the refrigerator and serve chilled.

All utensils and a kitchen knife must be completely dry. To make this recipe, you need to use white chocolate with cocoa butter in the composition, and not with vegetable fat.
