Pour milk into a cleanly washed pan. Gently pour sugar in the same place. Do it in small portions. Stir the sugar thoroughly with a whisk until it is completely dissolved. Try not to whisk milk.

Place the pot on a slow fire. Stir the mixture constantly during cooking to prevent lumps and condensed milk to burn. How much time you need to cook - it turns out empirically, a lot depends on the quality of milk and the burner. But wait until the mixture becomes thick

Remove the condensed milk from the heat and refrigerate. This can be done both at room temperature and in the refrigerator. Homemade condensed milk can be used, for example, to prepare a cream. You will need equal parts of condensed milk and butter. They must be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. You can add a few drops of lemon juice.

Homemade condensed milk has not a white, but a yellowish color.
The pan is best taken with thick walls.
Useful advice
For the preparation of condensed milk, you can use milk powder. It must first be diluted to the desired consistency.
Condensed cream is made according to the same recipe. Cream is better to take medium fat.
250 g of sugar is the minimum quantity for 1 bottle of milk. There may be more sugar, then milk will thicken faster.
