You should not take pomegranates, persimmons, bananas, quinces for the preparation of the drink. Compote should be boiled, sometimes stirring it, the cooking time depends on the ingredients. For example, pears and apples are boiled for about half an hour, other fruits - about 15 minutes. The fruits should become soft, but stay intact, not boil. The cooked compote can be drunk immediately after cooking, but its taste is most pronounced after 10-12 hours, when it finally cools down, and the fruit is saturated with sugar syrup.

Making compote from frozen berries is even easier. A glass of sugar is added to a five-liter pan with water, and the water is brought to a boil. Frozen berries spill out into boiling water, and the water should boil again. Then the compote is cooked for 5 minutes on low heat. After that, the pan is covered and removed to the side for 30 minutes. The compote is cooled and filtered if desired.
