Pour five liters of warm water into a large pot, it is possible from the tap. Add 1/2 cup sugar and mix thoroughly. At the same time, you need to put an aluminum pan on the fire, pour sugar in it in the amount of one glass. When the sugar color turns brown and it melts, turn off the heat.

Pour the contents of an aluminum pan into a large pot of water. If sugar has sunk, you need to dilute it a little with water and overcook. Then pour the sugar back into the pot with water. Sugar is fried so that the color of kvass is golden brown, in addition, the original drink acquires a delicate taste and pleasant aroma.

Pour one tablespoon of dry yeast and 1/2 tablespoon of citric acid into a large saucepan. Mix the contents and place for at least four hours in a warm place (for example, on a sunny windowsill or balcony). In a private house or in the country, kvass can be taken out into the courtyard and placed in direct sunlight. Stir the contents in a saucepan and pour them into plastic bottles.
