Preparing for the transition to proper nutrition

Most often they begin to think about the need for proper nutrition after any health problems or severe obesity. Until the situation becomes catastrophic, a person is inclined to believe that at any moment he can refuse harmful products and quickly put his health and figure in order. Such individuals either endlessly postpone the transition to proper nutrition, or abruptly go on a rigid low-calorie diet, which leads to a breakdown.

No need to take sharp steps and make hasty decisions. If you, having looked at yourself in a mirror or horrified at the thickness of a medical record, have firmly decided to take the necessary measures, start by analyzing the existing diet. For several days, write down in the food diary everything that you eat and drink per day. Then analyze your notes and flag all harmful products. These are considered fatty foods, products with a high content of simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, soft drinks, packaged juices), canned foods, sausages, fast food, etc.

Then, next to each of the harmful products, write down a more useful alternative: sweets can be replaced with dried fruits or marshmallows, purchased lemonades and juices with homemade compotes and fruit drinks, muffins with whole grain breads, sausages with boiled veal or chicken breast.

Then try to take into account the alternative foods, allowing from time to time something from the forbidden list. The preparatory phase will end when you can calmly refuse harmful products in favor of healthy ones.

Proper cooking

Healthy nutrition involves not only quality products, but also their proper preparation. From now on, forget about frying, smoking, salting, boil all products, stew, bake or grill. In addition, a day is supposed to eat 500-800 g of fresh vegetables and fruits. Salads in the diet must be present necessarily, best of all - from seasonal vegetables seasoned with natural yogurt or olive oil.

A very useful device for switching to proper nutrition is a double boiler. With its help, you can cook many light and healthy dishes that have retained vitamins and minerals as much as possible. In the kitchen, foil, sleeves and baking bags, dishes with non-stick coating, which allows not to use oil, will also be useful to you.

Optimal diet

The most optimal for the body is fractional nutrition. It allows you to maintain the health of the digestive system and speed up the metabolism. Eat 5-6 times a day, in small portions. Carbohydrate foods (cereals, fruits) are preferable to eat up to 14 hours - they will give you energy. In the afternoon, eat protein foods and vegetables. Evening meal should be as easy as possible, and before going to bed you can drink a glass of kefir. Drinking regime - 2 liters of pure water.
