Pumpkin is a very juicy and tender vegetable that goes well with hard cheese and chicken. Therefore, we bring to your attention a very tasty, delicate and velvety casserole, which combines only the three ingredients described above, seasoned with spices, sour cream and mayonnaise.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of Dutch cheese;

  • 1 small packet of sour cream;

  • 0.7 kg of peeled pumpkin;

  • 0.7 kg of chicken;

  • mayonnaise;

  • butter;

  • salt and black pepper;

  • 30 g breadcrumbs.

Cooking:

  1. Rinse the meat, removing excess fat and streaks, dry and cut into medium cubes.

  2. Put all the meat cubes in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, mix.

  3. Peel the pumpkin and seeds, rub on a coarse grater. Grate hard cheese like a pumpkin.

  4. Combine the grated ingredients in a bowl, season with salt, sour cream and mayonnaise, mix thoroughly until the mass is uniform, divide into two equal parts.

  5. Lubricate the baking dish (approximately 20x15 cm in size) with a piece of butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

  6. Put one part of the pumpkin mass in the mold and level it. Cover the pumpkin mass with pieces of meat, and cover the meat layer with the remainder of the pumpkin mass.

  7. Sprinkle all this with grated breadcrumbs and optionally the remaining hard cheese, send for 1 hour to the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, and bake until cooked. The baking time may vary slightly, as each oven has individual characteristics. You must always take into account the individual characteristics of the technique.

  8. The finished casserole should be baked from the inside and covered with a ruddy cheese crust on the outside. So, remove the baked casserole from chicken, pumpkin and hard cheese from the oven, cool, cut into portions and serve with a salad of fresh vegetables.
