The jam cake, the recipe of which you will find below, is incredibly tender, aromatic and very tasty. For its preparation, any jam is good, thick enough jam, and also, if desired, you can use finely chopped fruit in syrup.

Ingredients:

  • 25 g of compressed yeast;
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • egg white (for dough) and yolk (for lubrication);
  • 3 cups of wheat flour;
  • 3-4 tbsp. l granulated sugar;
  • 1 glass of jam or jam;
  • 50 g of sunflower oil;
  • salt.

Cooking:

  1. First you need to prepare the dough. To do this, heat the milk so that it is warm, but not hot. Then dissolve all the granulated sugar in it and add a little salt. Next, put the yeast in the mixture and mix everything.
  2. After the yeast is activated (foam appears), pre-sifted flour is poured into them and the dough is kneaded. Then vegetable oil is added and again everything is thoroughly mixed.
  3. Next, the dough should be removed in a fairly warm place. Do not forget to cover it with a clean cloth. Please note that for these purposes a bag of cellophane will not work, as it will not allow the test to breathe.
  4. After the dough is suitable, it must be thoroughly kneaded. Then it is divided into 2 parts, one of which should be larger.
  5. Next, prepare the baking dish, greasing it with oil, put rolled dough into it (part of a larger size). Jam is placed on top of the dough.
  6. After that, the second part of the test rolls out. It should be cut into fairly thick strips. They must be laid on top of the cake. You can make a mesh of these strips or any other pattern. After this, the top of the strips should be coated with egg yolk.
  7. Then you need to cover the cake with a napkin and put it in a warm place. There, the dough should rise well, as a rule, it takes at least a third of an hour. Next, you need to heat the oven to 180 degrees and put a cake for baking. It will be ready in 35–40 minutes. The finished cake should be pulled out of the mold, however it must be done after it cools down.
