This recipe for baked chicken liver can be considered quite successful in terms of taste. At the same time, it is a little unusual - you have to fry the liver just before stewing. Thanks to this heat treatment, the dish has a rich aroma and creamy, solid consistency.

You will need

  • - breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp.;

  • - sour cream - 500 g;

  • - pepper;

  • - salt - 1.5 tsp;

  • - flour - 2 tbsp;

  • - bulbs - 450 g;

  • - chicken liver - 1 kg.

Prepare the chicken liver in advance - wash it in running water, cut the connective tissue and then cut into oblong pieces. If the liver is small, you can not cut it.

Chop the onion very finely or a quarter of the ring as you like. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium heat and fry the onion in it until soft and slightly discolored.

Put onion and add more vegetable oil to the pan, add heat to maximum. Drain the accumulated liquid in a bowl with the liver. Pour the flour and mix the mixture so that the liver becomes evenly coated with flour.

Put the liver mass in a pan and fry, stirring occasionally. Readiness is determined by the resulting fried crust. Note that inside the liver must still remain raw. Pepper and salt.

Lubricate the bottom of the baking dish with vegetable oil. Put the fried liver in it. Place the fried onions in an even layer on the liver.

Pour sour cream into the pan from under the liver, add pepper and salt - 0.5 teaspoon. Stir and heat the sour cream over medium heat. You can add tomato sauce or grated cheese or fried mushrooms to sour cream if you wish.

Pour the prepared sour cream solution on the onion layer. On top of all this, evenly distribute the ground crackers.

Preheat the oven to 230 oC and place the mold inside for twenty minutes. If the oven has the function “top heating” or “grill”, then 10 minutes after the start of baking, you can turn it on.

Ready-made chicken liver, baked under sour cream, will impress you with its taste. Serve it as an independent dish or with rice, potatoes, noodles. As a drink you can use milk, kefir or compote.
